It's a little bit crazy that this girl thinks she may be adopted just because of hair color. Genes are so intricate and confusing. It's obviously a science, but a strange and esoteric one. There seems to be no rhyme or reason behind which genes are phenotypically expressed.

The only fishy thing is that her family freaks out when the idea of a DNA test is brought up. Maybe the mother did cheat, but some other sibling is adopted. You never know. But a whole family of redheads sounds crazy.

Redheaded parents tricked into doing DNA test when daughter realizes she might be adopted because of her brown hair, she second guesses herself despite strange red flags: “There were no pictures of me until I was 3-years-old”
Oh, the age old red head debate. Red heads hold so much lore, and people love to spread hundreds of rumors about them. There are endless stereotypes, myths and legends. People in the past used to target them as witches, or demonic for their fiery locks. Presently, there are a myriad of rumors and generalizations about them. One of which is that they're not just fiery on the outside, but the inside too. Red heads are known for their fury, their rage, their tempers, and anger issues. Now, this can't be proved, of course, but there are enough anecdotes out there to make one a believer. Another is their passion for love, again circling back to their fieriness just being manifested in their hair. Red heads were often depicted in Medieval and Renaissance classical art, as mermaids, maidens, and even Aphrodite when she's birthed from sea foam.
But red heads and genetics is a different matter. Some people say that their pain tolerance is higher than other people due to a certain gene. And for many, they may even think they're adopted if no one else in their family has red hair. So in the story below, the protagonist is going through the opposite struggle.
